As some of you may or may not know Ryan and I have been blessed with the delights of unemployment, thank you economy. Ryan's previous job as a landman (oil/gas) started to slow down around Christmas time and then the work completely stopped coming in around January. So, for the last few months we have been growing together and figuring out how to make ends meet. Not gonna lie there were times where we wanted to kill each other but I must say that this experience has truly helped us to reconnect and build a stronger foundation as a couple, husband and wife. Also, it has helped both of us to re-evaluate what is truly a "need" and what we can live without. It was hard and sad to see shopping go by the wayside, but it was a must. haha.
even sawyer was excited. haha.

Yea!! Congratulations Ryan! Does this mean you're moving back to Houston?
That's awesome! Sometimes those crappy things have to happen give you the kick in pants you need to take the next step toward what you REALLY want to be doing... at least I feel like almost the same thing happened to me when I lost my job a while ago. Now I'm finally going to be a dental hygienist!
Congrats again to Ryan, what an exciting job! And good for you guys for using the rough times to grow closer together!
Congratulations! Have a great first day and week!
Congratulations Ryan! What a totally awesome job!
Congrats! That sounds like such an amazing opportunity!
YaaaaaaaY!! That's exciting! I love that you can see the silver lining in such a difficult time. A lot of times we just see the struggles and all we can think is "this sucks!! why me?!?" But there's always something to be learned/gained from a struggle.. You and Ryan are closer, you've learned how to distinguish between a need and want (tough to do!!), and now he's gonna be working in politics!! Good for you guys!! Congrats again! :)
Congratulations on Ryan's new opportunity!!! Sounds exciting!
Some of mine and Mike's best memories are when we were college students and had no $$$ Sounds weird, but like you said it really can help bring you together and help you learn to appreciate what you DO have (most importantly each other:)
congratulations ryan! that can be a scary thing (not having a job), but like you said, it can be a blessing, bringing you closer together because you realize what's important in life.
Yay! Go Ryan! He is so perfect for that job! :o) I love the picture too! He's so silly!
Congrats you guys! That's great! Can't wait to get a ride in Air Force One someday.
